I will have to record it on DVR - hopefully, he will be able to dissect the Republican ideas the way he did at their meeting a few weeks ago.

I would like to see members of the St. Petersburg Times there to provide a running fact check of statements...

I suspect a lot of folks just won't show up. By folks I mean senators and reps.

They won't show up, and then they'll complain about having not been included.

I'm sure the GOP was not looking forward to a live televised meeting. Let's have some transparency.

I'd tell republicans to not not show up, the current plan is not worth discussing and should be tossed. Concentrate on JOBS!

The Republicans should send Sarah - that ought to be fun..... but this is a serious issue that should be addressed now. Have this one final discussion with all interested parties - Republicans and Democrats alike and let us all see and hear what each party brings to the table. Let there be a sensible discussion of the issues and the proposed solutions - enough of "Healthcare is going to kill grnadma" and "it will kill babies".

Seriously - the current plan need to be tossed and then the discussion can be started. The current plan is unknown and formed behind closed doors without all parties involved. If the president is serious, he would toss the current plan and start over with both parties.

The president needs to focus on JOBS and stop Health Insurance reform till the economy has recovered. He needs to do what is best for the American people...not his own agenda.

If the President is not serious then these comments are a waste of time. The plan is to agree on a common need.
